Hi! I’m Othoniel Sierra.
I have been an Englewood resident since 2009. I have served in City Council since June 2018 and as your mayor since Dec 2021. I believe strongly that we are making this a great place to live and raise a family.
I want to build on the progress we have made in the city, through investment in our parks, infrastructure, small businesses, and activating our City Center, Wellness, and the entirety of South Broadway.
In my free time, I continue to enjoy the bars and restaurants in our city, running and cycling for fun and sport, and traveling across the US and internationally.
My son, Nicko attending his first day of school.
I have been in Englewood since 2009, near Bates Logan, with my (now) 13 year old son, Nicko, and our rescue dog, Margot. He started Charles Hay back in the original building, before the new school was completed for his 1st grade year. He’s currently in 8th grade at Englewood Middle School and has already stated he will be attending Englewood High next year. Nicko is now older (and apparently too cool for dad) but you may see him walking around the city to our parks or more likely, Chick-Fil-A and 7-11 with his friends.
Over the years, I’ve seen Englewood change for the better. We have made sizable investments in our parks and infrastructure, with more on the way with many thank you’s to our citizens for supporting a bond measure and sales tax increase to see further improvements to all our parks in the next 3 years. We have more dining options in the city with big names in the Colorado dining scene such as Bobby Stuckey and Dana Rodriguez investing in Englewood with Osterio Alberico and the new Work and Class opening in September 2025. There’s more to be done, with continued investment in our infrastructure, in our small businesses, and in redeveloping City Center. You will see much more in this area in 2026, with specific details in the Accomplishments section of this website. Thank you for supporting me over these last 7 years to get us to this point.
